We are seeking a Sales Office Coordinator to join us as part of our exciting period of growth to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the Internal Sales department including processing customer orders, drawing up quotations, organising sample deliveries, and working within KPIs and deadlines.
The Role:
- Deliver exceptional, timely customer service, fulfilling all requests per company standards.
- Handle customer enquiries, process quotations, and dispatch samples promptly.
- Input orders and review contracts, coordinating with Production/Planning and Material Controls to meet customer needs.
- Address and resolve customer complaints, liaising with customers and the Quality Assurance (QA) Department.
- Support External Account Managers in managing customer requirements and expectations.
- Achieve KPIs such as minimising aged stock, maintaining high On-Time In-Full (OTIF) percentages, and meeting sales budgets.
- Maintain ‘OpenCRM’ (our cloud -based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system) with detailed entries on activities, meetings, quotes, and samples.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and company procedures, ensuring safe working practices.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the Company’s objectives and vision.
- Understand and contribute to the Sales strategy for achieving sales targets and business growth.
- Manage customer accounts to maintain satisfaction by understanding their objectives.
- Build strong customer relationships with a focus on exceptional service.
- Maintain awareness of customer trading positions to address opportunities, risks, or threats appropriately.
- Collaborate with External Account Managers to develop proactive customer strategies and account plans.
The Person:
- Excellent verbal and written communication using a variety of effective techniques.
- Ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong active listening skills.
- Experience in handling customer requests and resolving issues.
- Flexibility and a proactive approach, being a self-starter with a drive to achieve results.
- Ability to assess risks associated with new initiatives, meet deadlines, and handle unexpected situations. Experience with packaging technology procedures and practices in FMCG, including food manufacturing.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to comply with Health & Safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Strong organisational and timekeeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience and knowledge of the produce and food service industry are desirable but not essential.
- Right to work in the UK (must be able to provide evidence).
What We Offer:
- Full-time (35 hours per week), Permanent.
- Hours of work: 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch).
- Compeitive salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum + benefits package including free parking onsite.
