Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant who is available immediately to start a new contract in Blackpool?
On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Blackpool, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary basis, initially for 3 months. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. The role is crucial in supporting their financial operations by managing the purchase ledger and sales ledger, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices, maintain vendor records, and reconcile supplier statements

Generate and send out invoices, record and allocate incoming payments, and handle customer queries

Prepare payment runs and conduct credit control activities

Assist with month-end closing and maintain accurate financial records

Provide administrative support to the finance team and contribute to process improvements
Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in purchase ledger and sales ledger management

Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Month-end closing experience is an advantage
