Senior Account Handler

We are seeking a Senior Account Handler to work within a close-knit and expanding team specialising in the niche areas of Warranty & Indemnity insurance and Litigation Insurance, as well as other financial lines such as D&O.
The Role:
Collate information from clients/agents, assessing their insurance needs and risk profile.
Research underwriters risk appetite and negotiate with relevant markets to secure the most suitable insurance for the client at the best terms.
Managing renewals and renewal process
Broking and or liaising with underwriters to obtain quotations and providing additional information as required. Prepare and update accurate client presentations/analysis for underwriters
Present underwriting terms and rates with relevant information to clients/agents.
Prepare Cover Notes, Slips, debiting and other pre and post-order documentation and processes.
Build strong long-term relationships with key broker partners through establishing trust and exceeding commitments
Assist in business development and establishing strong solicitor and private equity contacts
Requirements:
At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in Account Handling and insurance and/or a law graduate/paralegal/Legal Executive.
Ideally with a knowledge of D&O, W&I and/or litigation insurance and funding, or have a strong interest in these with a willingness to learn as full training and support will be provided
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised but also as part of a team
Strong communication skills are a prerequisite along with a positive “can-do” attitude.
Accuracy and attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and an ability to prioritise workload
Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office with experience of using Acturis desirable
Self-driven to continuously improve performance with a desire to succeed.
