Links Recruitment Group presents a great opportunity for a Project Manager to join a large and well-established company that continues to grow and offers training and progression opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing water-related construction projects from site setup to handover, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery within program and budget constraints.
Main Duties

Manage Project Managers in the delivery of their projects.

Ensure each team member has an up-to-date skills matrix and an agreed plan to bridge any gaps.

Conduct monthly “one-to-one” meetings with each team member to recognize strengths, identify areas for improvement, and document progress as required.

Effectively supervise, motivate, and develop the project management team.
Health and Safety Compliance

Champion the importance of safe working methods and practices, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Promote, enforce, and adhere to the company's Health & Safety Policy and Procedure.
Project Delivery and Performance

Liaise with Browne Framework Managers to manage project delivery.

Liaise with the Design Team to formulate and implement procurement strategy.

Monitor the activities and performance of project teams, ensuring resource works are appropriately allocated.

Drive the improvement of project key performance indicators, ensuring team members are aware of KPIs and results through a visual review process.
Client and Stakeholder Management

Develop and maintain relationships with client representatives, supply chain, and local authorities.

Prepare monthly client progress reports and record all changes to client requirements and scope of services.

Represent the company at various meetings.
Quality and Documentation

Produce and manage contract programs, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Process all contract Quality and Health & Safety documentation.

Assist with all commercial aspects and monitor contract costs.
Training and Development
- Ensure the training and development of supervisory and operational employees to maintain a competent workforce.
Additional Responsibilities

Undertake reasonable tasks as allocated by the company.

Assist with bid support at the tender stage.

Attend departmental audits conducted by internal or external personnel.

Carry out disciplinary investigations as required.

Manage and resolve conflicts and absences within the business according to company policy.
The Person
-
Experience in a similar role managing drainage and/or potable water projects.
-
Strong understanding of engineering principles and mechanical maintenance.
-
High attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Management, Supervisor, or Team Leader experience.
-
Relevant mechanical qualifications (desirable).
-
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team and independently.

Experience in medium to heavy industry.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
