One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner. This is a temporary ongoing contract.
Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary
The HR Business Partner will lead the provision of strategic HR services to a designated division or divisions within the Trust in order to drive forward high levels of performance. Working closely with the Divisional Director, Divisional Director of Operations, General Managers, Clinical Leads and Heads of Nursing/Midwifery, the Business Partner will lead of all aspects of work associated with the forward planning, modernisation, engagement, motivation and performance of the divisional workforce.
Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement a Workforce Strategy, in line with corporate strategies that will enable the delivery of the Division’s Business Plan.

Play a key role within Divisional Management Teams, contributing to service planning and delivering against key performance indicators.

Advise the Divisional Directors on strategies and tactics to maximise service performance through the implementation of workforce initiatives.

Provide expert advice to the divisional director and their leadership teams relating to highly complex HR issues; act as a key decision maker drafting recommendations and option papers based upon robust intelligence and best practice

Implement a range of Organisational Development programmes in the Trust, including employee engagement and management and leadership development

Where required, lead on the development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures, taking into account legislation, good practice and NHS guidance, working in partnership with Staff Side.

Actively contribute to and take the initiative in designing, implementing and evaluating HR processes, systems and procedures which improve HR practice.

Provide line managers and staff with professional, comprehensive and timely advice and support on complex, sensitive and contentious HR issues, management of change and TUPE with minimal supervision, ensuring that organisational and legislative requirements are met and the highest standards are maintained.

Lead workforce planning and workforce change initiatives to support achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Coach, enable and facilitate managers in the Trust to be highly capable people managers and developers.

Constructively challenge senior Trust colleagues who are operating outside of Trust values and behaviours.

Take the lead on designing and implementing new HR services and initiatives in conjunction with the senior HR Team.
