Credit Controller - Spanish Speaking

Our client is a leader in their field, operating successfully for more than 100 years and now forms part of a much larger global brand with over 45,000 employees across 40 countries. They have the local, small family feel within their UK operation but with the benefit of a huge global backing. Their finance team is looking to hire an experienced credit controller who is a fluent Spanish speaker to support with their European accounts. Whilst most of the accounts that you'll inherit will be UK based, around 50 accounts will be Spanish companies so the ability to communicate with them is essential.
Credit Controller Responsibilities

Contacting customers to follow up on late payments and resolve payment issues

Driving adherence to payment terms and monitoring customer payment patterns

Liaising with colleagues to keep customer credit ratings up to date and releasing or holding orders based on Credit Control procedures

Monitoring and managing customer credit ratings, ledgers, debt owed, and payment plans

Acting on and resolving incidents and queries to expedite payments, and regularly reviewing orders to be released/held in line with credit control policy

Requesting relevant Insurance cover on customer accounts and covering cash posting during holidays
Credit Controller Requirements

3 years’ experience in a credit control environment

Can communicate fluently, both written and verbal, in Spanish (ESSENTIAL)

Maths and English GCSE B grade or equivalent

A proven track record of working in a busy office environment and experience in posting and reconciling payments
