About the role
As Onboarding Manager in the People & Culture team you will be responsible for designing and overseeing a comprehensive and innovative new joiner and people manager onboarding strategy to optimise how we bring people into the Firm. You will work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to engage with their new hires and ensure they have a good understanding of the firm and expectations of their role ahead of joining whilst ensuring a best-practice, market leading inclusive approach to how we onboard new talent.
- Design and implement targeted and innovative preboarding strategies (from offer – day one) in line with the firm's strategy with the aim of driving increased engagement, retention and speed to productivity across all roles and grades (early careers and experienced hire joiners).
- Develop an understanding of business resource needs, working alongside service lines and the People & Culture teams to devise and implement attractive preboarding campaigns and activity for new hires and people managers aligned with service line specific needs and objectives. Align onboarding policies and processes with the service line approach, and drive quality, compliance and operational efficiencies.
- Act as a project manager between internal teams and service lines to manage all new hire onboarding including project managing the new joiner experience and post offer engagement plan for early careers trainee intakes (coordinating high volumes of new starters joining as part of apprenticeship and graduate programmes).
- Work closely with HR Shared Services team on operational onboarding activity and act as an escalation point for new joiners and internal stakeholders.
- Working closely with the Talent Attraction team to design and implement the creation of compelling content and activity to engage and educate our new hires.
- Partner with the Learning & Development, People Experience & wider People & Culture teams to identify future skills requirements to support new hires as they integrate into the firm. Ensuring new joiners receive a comprehensive introduction to the Firm ahead of day one and during their 90-day induction.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal stakeholders, raising awareness of onboarding activity, provide training and engaging the right people internally to act as brand advocates for Forvis Mazars as part of the new joiner experience for increased engagement and retention.
- Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of onboarding experience initiatives and monitor the data to track progress, identify trends and make data driven decisions.
- Ensuring onboarding data is accurate and up to date at all times. Taking responsibility for new joiner reporting against KPIs and leveraging both internal and external market data to inform and support stakeholder discussions and decision making.
- Manage and develop onboarding processes, ensuring that all onboarding activity and processes are robust, consistent and compliant and in line with the firm's policy and drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions. Ensure cultural and behavioural expectations are clear pre day 1.
- Day to day management of the Onboarding team, providing guidance, supporting their professional growth and collaborating effectively.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven track record of implementing and delivering best practice onboarding processes in a large organisation with high volume recruitment.
- Experience of delivering high volume engagement campaigns or delivering events across scale and regional complexity to build new hire engagement.
- A real passion and experience in onboarding and attraction with innovative ideas for new joiner experience that will create a big impact.
- Data driven mind set and passion for analysing data to identify trends and inform decision making.
- Experience of leading and managing a team, bringing external insight and a deep understanding of onboarding processes.
- Proven project management experience, working with multiple stakeholders to drive change and implement process improvements.
- Strong communicator and influencer who takes the time to truly understand key stakeholders and the needs of their team and clients.
