As a First Line Manager (FLM), reporting to the Production Manager, you will be accountable for supporting the Line Structure Teams implementing the IWS ways of working, day & night, delivering against clearly defined standards & outputs.

As a First Line Manager, what will you be doing?
Taking personal responsibility for Health, Safety, and environment out of hours
Responsibility for the site out of hours, 7 days a week, ensuring all our colleagues are safe & products are compliant
Coaching the teams on IWS Ways of working such as problem solving & Daily Management Systems
Supporting the Line Structure Teams by leading & managing colleagues out of hours to achieve delivery of the plan
Collaborating closely with your Line Lead colleagues, ensuring that all colleagues are supported across 24 hours, 7 days a week
Role modelling servant leadership & coaching the teams to build capability & create ownership, supporting the delivery of our Compelling Business Need
Providing guidance & support & acting as the ‘go to’ person for any escalation out of hours & working closely with the out of hours maintenance team

We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
Strong people management skills
Experience dealing with absence, disciplinary, grievance
Proven track record in delivering against production and manufacturing KPIs/SLAs
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and IWS/ Six Sigma is desirable
Current work experience in the Food industry would be desirable
From a lean manufacturing background also desirable
Experience at a supervisory/leadership level
Flexibility for shift working patterns and extended cover shifts
Strong communication and motivational skills
Customer focused and able to meet internal/external requirements
