Catering Assistant | Rowley Hall Hospital | Full Time 30 Hours
The role
Rowley Hall Hospital currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Catering Assistant. Supporting our Chef’s and Catering Team you will serve meals to patients, prepare food in the kitchen facilities, serve over the tills and maintain the cleanliness of the working environment at all times.
Duties will include
Obtain food and beverage orders from patients, staff and visitors to the hospital
Assist in the preparation and service of food to patients, staff and visitors to the hospital
Clean on a daily basis all areas of the catering department to the agreed standard
Ensure all areas of the kitchen/restaurant/Ward pantry/vending machines are fully stocked and cleaned as appropriate
Ensure current health and hygiene regulations are adhered to in the preparation and service of all foodstuffs
Use of till and restaurant tally sheets
What you’ll bring with you
Experience in a catering environment
Knowledge of food safety to complete level 2 course when in role
Experience within a healthcare environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Must be computer literate
An ability to work independently and to manage own priorities and strict deadlines
