The Role...
This role sits within our Media Business Insight Limited (MBI), now part of the Global Data Group based in London Blackfriars, owns a unique portfolio of leading multichannel subscription-based brands, offering content and insight to key decision-makers and creatives in the media industry across TV, advertising, film and marketing services.
The Marketing Executive will work closely with the Head of Marketing and sales teams to support a portfolio of four brands centred at the heart of the Film, TV & commercials industry. This is a commercially oriented role which requires strong communication and campaign management skills, working across email, subscriptions, digital and social.
As the Marketing Executive for Screen International, Screen Global Production, The Knowledge and Production Intelligence (PI), you will be responsible for promoting B2B subscriptions, as well as orchestration of lead generation activities for sales teams, supporting commercial activity and utilising the full marketing mix to hit KPIs and achieve acquisition targets.
You must be able to adopt a pragmatic marketing approach to learn and adapt marketing communications to suit and engage our audiences. The role requires project management, creativity and strong multi-tasking and copywriting skills. Plus, the ability to use data to drive customer retention, acquisition and engagement.
What You'll be doing...
Screen Global Production, The Knowledge & Production Intelligence
- Create monthly marketing emails to support the SGP & PI sales teams to achieve target, with coordinating activity across LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
- Create sponsored and organic social media content creation – largely using Canva – to drive website traffic and sales leads – in an appropriate tone for each brand’s voice and marketing strategies.
- Help to create media packs for various SGP & The Knowledge products – to communicate offerings in a concise, engaging way to prospective advertisers.
- Supply sales teams with relevant campaign analysis and audience numbers.
- Collect marketing campaign performance feedback from sales teams – to inform future activity.
- Undertake ad-hoc data research projects to support the sales and marketing efforts for the annual Global Production Awards.
Screen International subscriptions
- Undertake ad hoc data cleaning and data processing, including extracting expiring subscriber data to send to the subscriptions sales team on a weekly basis.
- Field direct subscriber queries regarding access, newsletters etc. and pass on to the subscription bureau, where relevant.
- Field complimentary subscription set-up requests and queries from the sales and editorial teams.
- Create and send weekly engagement campaigns, plus any service updates to Screen International subscribers.
- Produce creative copywriting for websites, social media, e-shots and other marketing collateral.
- Work with customer service teams to resolve subscriber and improve subscriber bureau systems.
General
- Create artwork briefs for a range of assets for regular sponsored events such as virtual film screenings and webinars, providing support and guidance to deliver timely, high-quality marketing collateral.
- Track the performance of marketing activity and conversions, measuring and reporting the success of digital campaigns (incl. PPC & social media) and reporting on key KPI’s, to the Head of Marketing.
- Ensure all marketing activity is within the marketing budgets and allocate spend/resources to ensure the best ROI.
What we're looking for...
- 2-4 years marketing experience, preferably in B2B or consumer publishing
- Undergraduate degree
- Experience project managing campaigns
- Demonstrated ability to manage your work and prioritise accordingly
- Familiarity with CMS and using Google Analytics
- Great communication skills and team-player attitude
- Focus on attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- Positive and sociable team-player attitude.
- Proficient in excel and other relevant Microsoft programmes
- Understanding and experience in lead generation
- Strong design eye - with Canva experience desirable
- Good understanding of social media marketing
