Job Description

The Graduate /Junior Commissioning Engineer will form part of a dedicated team whose primary focus is to transition our automated equipment from completion of build through to customer inspection and sign-off.

This stage, known as the commissioning phase, can often present a variety of challenges that are especially prevalent when building bespoke equipment to satisfy our diverse customer base.

To overcome these often-unique challenges our commissioning team are well versed in a variety of skills and work collaboratively to find the solutions necessary to bring about the successful completion of the project.

This role will be a two-year programme working alongside our commissioning engineers and learning skills and techniques in both software, electrical and mechanical engineering. Having set goals and targets to gain the knowledge and experience over two years to become a commissioning engineer at PCE.

Requirements

The following list is an indication of the skills that the Graduate / Junior Commissioning Engineer will possess, in fulfilment of the position:

As a minimum you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:1 in your bachelor’s or master’s degree in advanced control and system / software engineering or a similar subject which includes coding.
Experience programming Programmable Logic controllers (PLC), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and applicable regulations and guidelines
