JOB PURPOSE

You will report directly to the company’s Director of Operations and Product and work very closely with all internal teams. You will manage the atelier, pattern cutters freelancers. You will be responsible for making sure the NO UNIFORM fit standards are adhered and seen through development and production, making sure all blocks and archive patterns are up to date and stored properly, making sure all garments are up to spec and within NO UNIFORM high standard quality (working closely with internal teams, atelier and our manufacturers) and making sure all technical requirements are met for testing and compliance.

JOB OVERVIEW

NO UNIFORM seeks a Technical Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the technical team ensuring the best quality of garments are produced, create and implement an ethical compliance business strategy that delivers exceptional standards.

THE ROLE

· Lead and manage technical team members

· Liaise with production and development team to ensure they are following the critical path

· Work with the designers and design team to ensure collections are realistic and achievable at sketching stage

· Handling fabrics to ensure they are appropriate for the chosen design

· Helping Product Development team to create tech packs with informed construction knowledge and POM’s

· Deciding on appropriate finishes and construction

· Proofreading tech pack so that all visible issues and errors are dealt with at that stage

· Lead fit meeting for the collections you are overseeing.

· Ensure technical packs are kept up to date and accurate after fittings and range reviews, together with the development and production tea

· Trouble shoot on any issues on manual/digital patterns

· Visits to off-shore factories where and when needed

THE CANDIDATE

· +6 years of experience in a similar or complimentary role and managing a team

· Proficient in Excel, basic illustrator and quick to pick up new computer systems

· Gerber knowledge preferred

· Confident in garment construction and pattern cutting techniques

· Knowledge of how to improve the quality of garments to a higher level

· Comfortable working to a strict schedule as well as setting schedules for internal team

· Problem solving abilities to address issue before they reach sampling as well as issues occurred during the sampling stage

· You are intelligent, optimistic, organised, and solution oriented person who thrives from working with a luxury product

· Understanding of fabrics, technical components and sewing

· Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model

· Inspires co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence

· Experience leading and developing a team
