Job Description

Hartland Shipping Services Limited is an internationally recognised shipbroking company with offices in London, Singapore and Shanghai. We are looking to expand our chartering team at our offices in London & Singapore and are looking for dynamic and experienced brokers to join our desks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with ship owners, charterers, and other key stakeholders.
Negotiate and conclude charter parties for vessels.
Analyse market trends and provide strategic insights to clients and team members.
Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the expansion, as well as assist with our in-house exclusive business.
Collaborate with other departments including research and sale and purchase.
Stay updated on industry regulations, port conditions, and global trade patterns.
Mentor junior brokers and contribute to the team’s professional development.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years experience in the dry cargo market, ideally working mini-bulkers to ultramax markets in the Atlantic & Pacific
Good knowledge of voyage chartering preferred but not essential
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Fluency in English (other languages are welcomed and an advantage)
