Human Resources Business Partner – 12-month Maternity Leave

About us:

Global Commissioning Limited is a privately owned consultancy, with our Head Office based in the UK. We offer commissioning management and validation services to project developers and operators, ensuring they receive a fully operational and design-compliant building at handover.

We are a growing company and currently operate in multiple countries across Europe, and have active branches in Germany, Poland, Finland, Italy, and the Netherlands.

Job Overview:

As an HRBP at Global Commissioning, you will play a crucial role in aligning our HR strategies with business goals and cultivating a positive and productive work environment. You will partner with senior management to implement effective HR policies and practices, provide expert guidance on workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations, and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organisational performance. You will work alongside another HRBP and closely with our Chief People Officer (CPO) to deliver comprehensive HR solutions.

This is a maternity cover starting January 2025 until January 2026.

Job Type: Full-time, Maternity Cover

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: Based at our Head Office in Whitstable

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnering:

Collaborate with company directors to understand their goals and objectives, and develop HR strategies that support business growth and development
Provide strategic input o workforce planning, talent management, and organisational design
Act as a trusted advisor to management on all HR-related matters

Employee Relations:

Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures
Promote a positive work environment and culture by addressing employee concerns and encouraging open communication

Performance Management:

Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, appraisals, and development plans
Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on performance-related issues

Talent Development:

Identify training and development needs within the company and implement effective programs to address them
Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts

HR Policy and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures

Organisational Development:

Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall organisational effectiveness
Facilitate change management processes and support organisational transformation efforts

International Compliance:

Assist with visa and work permit applications to ensure employees working abroad remain compliant
Monitor and manage international employment regulations to support global mobility
Provide guidance on international assignments to ensure smooth transitions for employees working abroad

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field, or minimum CIPD Level 5 qualified
Minimum of 10 years of HR experience
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven problem-solving and conflict resolutions abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Proficient with HRIS
